MIT graduate. Former aerospace engineer. Martial arts world champion. Co-owner of AttractionMarketing.com. And someone who grew up in East LA without a computer, dreaming of something more.

I grew up in East LA. We were poor. I didn't own a computer. But I had something that would prove more valuable than any material advantage — parents who held me to a high standard and an environment that demanded the best from me.
That environment took me from a kid in East LA to MIT, where I earned a degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. I went in as a timid, intimidated kid who barely spoke for two years. I came out believing I could conquer the world.
After MIT, I landed what looked like a dream job — an aerospace engineer working on top-secret space projects for the government. Impressive on paper. Suffocating in reality.
The work was boring, full of bureaucracy, and most importantly, I had no control over my time. I had done everything "right" and still felt trapped. I even went back to school at USC for a PhD, thinking it might help me escape — until I realized it would only lead to more of the same.
In 2005, a homework partner at USC invited me to what he described as a Silicon Valley startup pitch. It was a network marketing meeting. I literally asked, "Is this one of those pyramid things?"
I ghosted him for two weeks. But I kept thinking: what else am I going to do? This was the only opportunity anyone had ever presented that could give me the time freedom I craved. So I called him back and signed up.
After struggling with cold prospecting and old-school tactics, I discovered Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring — and the concept of attraction marketing. That discovery changed everything.
I quit my engineering job in 2008 — just 2.5 years after starting. By 2009, I was a six-figure earner. By 2012, I had built a seven-figure income. All while living at my mom's house in East LA, working from a bedroom I'd converted into an office.
In 2014, I was invited to become a partner and co-owner of the company that had helped me get my start — which we rebranded as AttractionMarketing.com. Today, alongside my business partner and CEO Tim Erway, we mentor network marketers at every level.
Everything I've achieved in my life — MIT, my business success, my martial arts world championship — came from being in the right environment with the right mentors. Not from being the smartest person in the room.
I'm not a "figure it out on your own" type. I thrive in environments with high accountability, great mentors, and people who are doing what I want to do. That's exactly the environment I've built at AttractionMarketing.com for our students.
"It's not a lack of skill or intelligence that holds people back. It's the lack of an environment that supports the behaviors and beliefs of the person they want to become."
